Complaints to OFT
Complaints to Office Of Fair Trading
If you file a Complaint with the OFT, MHOA recommends that you do not give your permission for any part of your evidence to be shown to the Park Owner, Park Solicitor or any Park Employees.
Recent advice from the OFT is that this is not necessary in order for an investigation of your complaint to proceed.
Recent experiences have shown that to release your evidence may, in fact, provide the very means for your complaint to be dismissed.
Additionally, MHOA recommends that, you do not accede to any request to withdraw your Complaint.
Once lodged, allowing this Complaint to remain on file provides a very useful record of past conduct which can be considered by the OFT if further similar Complaints are made concerning the park.
Please advise MHOA if you have made a past Complaint (or make one in the future) to the OFT concerning:
- Harassment
- Bullying,
- Misleading Conduct
- Unconscionable Behaviour
- Interference with Sale Of A Home
- Interference with Your Quiet Enjoyment
and whether this was acted upon or dismissed.
