Welcome
The Manufactured Home Owners Association of is a non-profit,volunteer, state-wide organization whose members are manufactured home owners in Queensland.
MHOA was developed to help prevent unfair treatment of manufactured home owners.
A network of park/village representatives has the ability and capacity to either support our member’s needs or put them in contact with the appropriate MHOA Officer.
Our organization has experienced officers able to help you understand:
- Your agreement.
- The laws governing manufactured homes.
- Give advice and assistance when problems arise.
- Provide information about developments in matters of mutual concern.
MHOA is an organization which is recognised by the Office of Fair Trading, and which endeavours to work cooperatively with the OFT for the betterment of members living in residential parks.
We assist members in understanding of the Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Act 2003 which governs residential parks and the site agreements (contracts) made under that Act, especially in relation to the settling of disputes between home owners and park operators.
The MHOA monitors the Manufactured Homes Act 2003 to make sure our members receive the benefits it should provide them with, and also to identify any defects in this Act so that we can work towards amending the current legislation if that is needed.
We are continually lobbying State and Federal Governments on all manners of issues concerning members’ welfare.
As a volunteer organization we are always seeking new members; there is strength in numbers so why not join today and help make a difference.
We are happy to provide this website which helps keep manufactured home residents updated on issues that affect your chosen lifestyles, and avenues that can help with problems that may arise.
